Life is full and it seems like we are always having our time filled up with all of the mundane events. We are often so caught up in our lives that we miss certain things- flaws and blemishes that gradually make their way into our thinking and ultimately into our actions. Many people have this struggle, I myself probably being the most prominent.
Now, you may be wondering, what are those 'certain things' that I was talking about? Well, those are the problems and struggles that we accumulate over time. Whether it's working too much, saving too little money, wasting your time, or another of the endless possibilites, we all know what they are and know how much they're affecting our lives. And if you don't then maybe this series will help show you.
I have given this concept enormous amounts of thought and have decided that the best way to describe, and then hopefully eliminate, is to call them boxes. This may be just an analogy in most ways, but I also think it's a perceptive way to describe and draw attention to a common phenomena.
Why boxes?
Boxes have four sides, a floor, and a ceiling. They end up blocking your view, and they close out the rest of the world. All of the seperate parts can go up at the same time or at multiple different times. It takes effort and also at the same time, laziness. It can be a result of your own doing (or not doing), or someone else's (which doesn't happen too often).
Why should you care?
You should care because you should want your life to be good and healthy. You should want the best possible life situation for youself. A balanced, well-rounded, purposful life should be the aspiration for everyone. The only way to reach that goal is to rid yourself of your issues and problems (aka Boxes).
Why do I care?
I care because I have had these problems in my own life- everybody does. I only want to show a possible solution to this everyday problem. I may not be solving huge problems like world hunger, and I may not even be solving anything here. This very well may be me writing for me and for my own improvement. But just the same, for posterity's sake, I'll write my thoughts. And I'll write them for you too.
Wrapping up.
Anyways, I hope that this has been a sufficed introduction to my series, "The Box." Now, hopefully you will have a better understanding on why I'm writing about this, it won't be random, cliche garbage that is vague and uninteresting- well I guess you'll be the judge of that.
Sometime soon in the future, there will be another post explaining what these Boxes are and steps for getting out them. I hope y’all enjoy!
Great piece!
